“Long-Suffering”

Mat_24:13  But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

So, Its been a while. Welcome back or Welcome if its your first time to my blog. I am so glad you are here!

First let me start off with a little about me(although none of this is about me anyways. My main goal is to bring honor and glory to my heavenly Father above all else!

My name is Ulyssia (you-lish-uh). I am happily married to my husband Jason for going on 20 years this July with 4 beautiful all grown children(2 are my bonus children from his previous relationships and 2 we have together).

We have been through our fair share of trials, death, hardships, joy, pain, laughter, and that list goes on and on in our almost 21 years together. Life has a way of going on through all of those emotions through the midst of it all.

If I said that I came to write this blog because I figured it all out, felt closer to God, was so much further in study as a believer, etc I would be lying. Life is good but it has been hard. With the death of my Mother, Father, Uncles, Grandfather, best friend, & a few others that were important to me and my family. Navigating life through loss is hard! Its like you wake up with this silence that is indescribable every day. I know that I am not alone on this journey because I know so many that I love personally going through the same thing. So many are going through this right now, not just in my bubble. In fact, I think just about someone we all know is going through this right now.

I have been praying for Yahshua/Jesus to help me through this time and give me a peace. One like only He can through times like this.

I have had dreams/visions and discernments all my life and in no way am I claiming that I am any prophet or the like but it helps me along my walk so many times for reassurance through those rough days and even happy times. My dreams have slowed a lot lately or I just cant remember like I used to. Maybe its because I am not sleeping as soundly since our pet babies love their Mom and Dad soo much that they cant help but to be near. ha!

A few weeks ago I had a dream but I don't even remember what the dream was but I remember distinctly waking up to the word LONGSUFFERING almost shouting into my spirit. I could almost hear it audibly. I wish I could remember the dream but I have a great feeling the dream was not as important as the instilling of this word and its meaning.

So many times we go through trials almost forgetting what Yahshua, the prophets, disciples, etc went through. We forget the race we are running and the reason behind it. We get lost in the shuffle of everyday life and our circumstances.

Lets dive into a little of the etymology and definition of this word

Also Longsuffering is one of the fruits of the spirit! We go over scripture as believers sometimes not feeling or knowing just how much it means. How many times have you as a believer rehearsed the fruits of the spirit? How much can our human minds fathom all that they mean?

Gal 5:22  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23  Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

In conclusion, I hope that this touched you and reminded you just who you are in the Father and that you are not alone. Long-suffering is hard but all part of the walk we walk as believers. We must stand fast and endure until the end.

Be encouraged! You are not alone
